Design speculation
Student project from June 2021. The assignment was to find a material we have large access to. Then destroy, depart, and explore the possibilities in the material, then use it to create a product that will be usable in the future.
Our solution was to use plastic document folders, and melt them into a poncho looking rain coat to protect robots from damage and rusting from the acid rain. We figured that this will be necessary if the climate keeps getting more extreme, papers disappear in the benefits of digital alternatives, and robots take over the world.
The assignment is presented as a future Vogue magazine for robots - because no matter the year, Vogue will always be in style.
